What are Varicose Veins?
Varicose veins are dilated, bulging veins that are purple and blue, distorted and sometimes uncomfortable; and are common in the legs. Symptoms include discomfort, itching, aches and pains.
The Cause: Varicose veins can be caused by a weakness in the vein’s structure (primarily walls and valves of the blood vessel). Since the pressure of the blood is lower when it returns back to the heart and the blood needs to work against gravity. The vein walls become dilated and harden with time where the blood collects (typically in proximity to the vein valves).
The main objective of our varicose vein treatment is to stimulate circulation of the blood, to strengthen the blood vessels, reduce pain and act as an anti-inflammatory.
Directions: Apply small amounts at least 1 time a day to the affected areas, massage with light upward strokes toward the heart. Also take a few minutes to elevate your legs, and do not cross your legs, or wear too tight of clothing (especially tight pants), as this will cut off circulation and worsen your condition. With time the treatment will help to reduce the appearance of spider veins, will relieve pain and aid in proper blood circulation.
